8,200 Jobs in Nagur - TCS

IT giant Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) will set up a new software development unit in Nagpur, Maharastra investing Rs 600 crore in the first phase, creating jobs over 8,200 professional.

The TCS Nagpur campus will be build in two phases, the first of which will contain 8,200 seats for IT SEservices and BPO services. The second phase will be of equal in size.

The Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan on Monday, Dec 19 laid the foundation for the first phase of the project. The campus will be set up in Mihan Special Economic Zone ( SEZ) at Nagpur.

TCS CEO and MD N Chandrasekaran said, "Nagpur has the potential to become the next big hub for knowledge-based industries like IT and engineering with its strong eco-system of universities, talented people and infrastructure."
