According to the police (rural), the girl was in a relationship with 19-year-old Mithilesh, son of Yashodha Dhanraj Gajbhiye, an influential Congress leader and a senior zilla parishad member in Nagpur district.
The girl, a school dropout was close to the accused and got into a relationship with him. The accused also promised to marry her in Mar 2011, after which he deserted her. He, however, got a clip of their sexual encounter recorded on his mobile phone.
The boy forced the girl to be in a relationship with him or else threatened to make the clip public. He also coerced the girl into a relationship with one of his friends and kept blackmailing her relentlessly.
When the girl stopped giving into his blackmailing, the accused circulated the MMS showing the girl in a compromising position with them.
She later bucked up the courage and narrated the whole incident to her parents, who then filed a police complaint. A case has been registered against the two for transferring/publishing obscene content and raping the minor girl
