Aero models show the unique acrobatics in the air at Nagpur

The Ordnance Factory Ambajhari (OFAJ) organised an aeromodelling show at the Sports Complex OFAJ on Saturday to mark the Ordnance Factory Day.

The gaze of the large audience present at OFAJ sports complex was skyward. They were delighted, watching flying objects in the air and making the aerial spectacle

Superintendent (SP) Central Bureau Of Investigation (CBI) Nagpur Thomas John, was the guest of honor. General manager OFAJ A K Prabhakar, president of Women Welfare Association OFAj unit Sanjana Prabhakar, principal director of National Academy Of Defense Production (NADP) Rajiv Gupta and additional general managers D K Talukdar, R S Jha, Gopal Singh, Avinash Chandra were also present.

The show took off with 'Tail Chase' in which two small model plane named 'kaos' flew together, chasing each other and enacting how dog fights were done in world war-II.

Power gliding was another interesting item in which engine was switched off after gaining certain height and the model glide on its own. A 7-year-old child Mohammad Rushdae, controlled the glider with deftness. The biggest cheer came when in twilight, 3 pair of flying saucer facilitated with LED displayed OF Day 2012 through fluorescence.

Silver Wings Aero Sports, Nagpur presented the show. Fali Bauxy, led the team. Zubin Khambata, Neeraj Gupta, Chandrakant Mohalle and Amit Jaiswal assisted him.

Later, Bauxy said that he has been flying radio controlled model planes for almost past three decades and developed the models on his own experience. He believed that experience of flying unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is a bonus for those opting flying carrier.
