IT giant Infosys will provide as many as 14,000 jobs to IT engineers in the upcoming software development centre in Nagpur in next 10 years, reports said.
The Bangalore-origin IT firm on Monday, Mar 5 signed an MoU with the Maharashtra Airport Development Company (MADC) in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan.
According to the MoU, the IT firm will be allocated 142 acres for the centre at Mihan, an air cargo project being developed by MADC.
Meanwhile, the projected development centre will start operations within three years with an investment of 100 crore. Moreover, it will create about 2,000 software engineers over five years.
Moreover, reports revealed that India’s second-largest software firm intends to invest Rs 415 crore in all and create jobs for 14,000 IT engineers when the centre, the firm’s 12th in the country, is fully developed in about 10 years.
