Neeri organized Programme Youth Leadership in Science

A Two-day CSIR programme on Youth for Leadership in Science (CPYLS) will be organized by National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI), Nagpur on March 12-13, 2012  The programme will be attended by SSC pass meritorious students from various schools of Nagpur and the Vidarbha region along with their parents.  Registrar, RTM Nagpur University Dr Mahesh Kumar Yenkie will preside over the inaugural function as chief guest. NEERI scientists will deliver popular science lectures on various environmental topics on this occasion. The students will be taken to various NEERI laboratories to show them practical demonstrations on various significant activities related to environmental science and engineering. The students will get an opportunity to interact with NEERI scientists. They will also be taken to Raman Science Centre. Director NEERI, Dr S R Wate said," the aim of organizing this programme is to attract the best young students towards science through a unique "hand holding" experience. Coordinator of this programme, Prakash Kumbhare stated that this programme will encourage youth to discover science as an exciting, rewarding and fulfilling career.
