Wagh Utsav, a festival organized by Vidarbha Economic Development (VED) Council and Cenin Travels, to be held on February 10 and 11, has been postponed and will now be a one-day event.
"First, we were to inaugurate the photo exhibition organized by PANCAN on February 10. But we realized if we started this two-day exhibition on Saturday, a lot more people could see photographs on Sunday. So we postponed the event," said Rahul Upganlawar, secretary general, VED.
Now, all the drawing and painting competitions slated to be held on February 10 will take place on February 11 itself. "We realized that we could conduct all the events on February 11 itself, so we are not keeping any event on the 10th," said Anuradha Paul, executive secretary, VED.
Only the initial round of the skit competition will be held on February 10, said Upganlawar. According to the revised schedule, the photography exhibition will be inaugurated on February 11 at 11am followed by drawing competition for children at 1pm. Sushmita Sen will be arriving at South Central Zone Cultural Centre ( SCZCC) to see the photo exhibition at 4pm. She will launch Friends of Tiger Country - Central India at 5.15pm which will be followed by cultural events. The photography exhibition will continue up to Sunday.
